Asian Star China Buffet in Reynoldsburg

This restaurant is eh. The food is not special in any kind of way. If you are coming to get asian food this is not the place. The food has a lot of American food such as chicken nuggets, ice cream, and more. It feels like it has less Asian food then anything else. The overall look of the place is bad. The walls and ceiling and floor are disgusting. But its ok. I’d go back again. (I’ve been twice)

Ive been going here since I was younger, back then there were crab legs, and more sushi varieties BUT it still so delicious, it tastes exactly as it did when i was younger, I recommend this place 100%

Just walking in I felt gross. The air is humid and warm. Two employees stared at us as we walked in and stood there for a few seconds before asking us how many. We had never been before, had no idea where to go and they just stared before helping us. Table was sticky and the food that the table shows (picture design on the table) looked better than the food presented. We went at dinner time, about 6pm. Food looked bad and tasted bad. Crab rangoons tasted as if they had left the cream cheese out for days, the crab had no taste and the meat was as if it sat in water for days. I had one hope that I could at least eat the ice cream....alas, even the ice cream was bad. It was mushy, and not frozen. This place was gross, and we will not return.

I love the different varieties of Asian & American culture of great tasting food & dessert.

LOVE THIS BUFFET🤘. Me and my Son hit this buffet up for some Good food and Good family time🤗💞. Prices aren't high and they keep the buffet fresh👍. You can't complain when your having a good drink and good food🤷🤣😂🤣😭😭😭😭💞🤘

The fried rice tasted like they’ve been using old rice funky rice.🤮🤮🤮🤮

Hot food some great dishes, a little warm inside and was very dark

Food is good but they will cheat you when you buy their food as takeout. They routinely charge you the seafood rate unless you tell them that you don't have any seafood in your plate. At times they don't weigh your food right once you tell them "no seafood," and you still get overcharged. They are shameless with this practice also. Make them weigh your food twice. That way you know that they haven't left their hand on top of your food while weighing it to get extra money out of you!!!!!

Absolutely awful experience. The food was just terrible. I've NEVER been disgusted by cheese cake or general Taos before until I ate here. They keep the cheese cake just out, unrefrigerated so it was just mush...

Great for big groups and small children. Variety of Chinese food to choose from and some American food (pizza. Mac&chz, chicken nuggets etc.) For the kids that are picky eaters. This is one of my fave places to eat because of the variety to choose from. Clean, good service and decent priced drinks

Good Buffet. Bacon Wrapped Pork Bites and Fried Chicken Wings. Fish was good. 👍

I loved it. All of the food tasted great. the food tasted fresh and well done. Only complaint i could have about the place is the sushi wasn't kept cold enough, but it still tasted good and fresh.

DON'T COME IF YOU HAVE A SEAFOOD/SHELLFISH ALLERGY!!! My girlfriend has a shellfish allergy reaction and only had a buffalo chicken wing and instantly had an allergic reaction, this is not the only time but THE THIRD TIME this is happening when the food she chose from the buffet was not seafood. They must not be changing the oils or they're cross contaminating seafood with chicken and other food. Unless if they change the way they're handling food, I'm taking her and I to the Chinese buffet in Heath or Newark.

I’ve eaten here at least 50 times… Was convenient on workdays… I can tell they must’ve gotten a new cook… The hot and sour soup was terrible… The egg drop was totally bland… Everything I tasted was lacking seasoning or just didn’t taste right… May try it one more time on a weekend because this is an old favorite.... if it’s this bad next time I won’t be back!

The food is great quality especially for the price. The wait staff is active and on top of things. Always a pleasant experience.

Just found this place. Excellent buffet at a reasonable price. Nice selection and friendly service. Clean and pleasant serving and dining areas. A bit on the noisy side, but it was all from happy kids, so not a problem. Will definitely be going back.

I usually don’t eat Chinese food but this buffet has a variety of food. The price is also affordable.I gave 4 stars because of the cleanliness which they can improve on.The lady Chauling is great and respect her customers.Suggestion: I went to a buffet in PA and they had fried plantains. If you do that you will see more Africans and Latinos eat there.

The chicken in stick is great best spring rolls. Best no contact to go service.

Husband, kids, and I eat here at least every other weekend. We have tried others, but they never measure up. The buffet is always full of delicious food. It's clean. And it is usually packed full of people - that should tell you something. My only complaint is that they need to fix the air conditioning. It's usually hot inside. If it were cooler, I'd definitely give it a 5.

Not bad food but. Watch out the outside sign says adult buffet is 10.50 inside sign said 10.75 buffet but they charged 11.60 each when we got the bill

My family has been coming to this restaurant for years. We usually have a good experience but after tonight we will not be back. We came in at 8:30 (they close at 10) and the bars were low to empty of food. We asked several times for things to be brought out and they flat out said no. The waitress brought our drinks and went and filled her plate and sat down to eat. Severely disappointed. This used to be a great place to eat.

This is the best Chinese buffet I've been to. Very busy, that means hot, fresh food, constantly. We will be back.

Their food is tasty. However it is also a little overcooked. The sushi bar consists of two small plates that are not very cold. They've got a large variety of stuff. There are some dishes that I have not seen at other buffets. The service was friendly and nice and there were lots of servers. You can tell that the dishes have been around for a while and like most buffets were not always clean.

Awesome affordable lunch and dinner. Plenty of dishes to choose from including rice and noodles, fruit, salad, many types of chicken, shrimp, crab dishes. My daughter loves the sushi, and can't get enough. Lunch is.about 16 bucks for two no drinks included. We always have the water. Try the pepper chicken it is fantastic.

My favorite place to go when I need a quick bite. Food is always fresh and my favorite is the teriyaki chicken!! The price is unbeatable

I brought my husband and 1 yr old to Asian Star for dinner tonight. I was feeding my son some of the fried rice and I FOUND A BUG in the rice. The manager apologized but still made us pay for the food. I'm absolutely disgusted. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The buffet has a ton of options, everything is hot (and replenished often), and the atmosphere is casual. The food is good and the price is beyond reasonable. When family/friends visit this is a popular destination!

Great food but ugly place. Super cheap and lots of great food and good service, but the place and food look disorganized. GREAT value for the money.

Better than cheesecake factory. I'll tell you that. Slow at putting fresh food on the bar. My only issue. Slight diarrhea after. But not as bad as cheesecake factory diarrhea

Food taste reasonably good but in no way can be considered great. Reasonable but not a lot of buffet food varieties. Great looking building from the outside though.

The best tasting food around. They may not have a bjg variety but what they have is perfection. It was hot and fresh and tender. I like this one over the one off if Hillard Rome Rd.

Terrific, well prepared food and excellent service. A place full of heavy eaters. Friendly atmosphere. Just have to watch for the youngsters at your knees

I've been getting food here for years and unfortunately it's not as good as it used to be. For 12 bucks plus drinks per person I just sort of hoped for better quality. Choices are always on point. Lots of variety. Service is good on slow days and questionable at best when they are busy.

Staff was very friendly despite the new quarantine restrictions. They made suggestions for our meals, food was very hot and accurate and delicious. Continues to be our favorite Asian spot

I walked in and it was crowded but I knew that was a good thing. I got some food with high Hope's and I was really surprised that it was better then I expected I really recommend this place 🙌💯🤤

Wow! Some of these one star reviews make me wonder if we dont have very good Chinese restaurants back home. Absolutely on point love this place. Gonna miss it. Think I'm gonna cry leaving.

When in around 9 (called 20 mins beforehand to asked if they had what I mainly wanted being they closed at 10 and was told yes, but told them I'll be there around 930) and got a pretty nice amount of food. I had to wait a little and my food was cold by the time I left (927) however it was fresh and delicious!!! They did a great job giving me what I asked for! Paid 10.00 for 1 1/2 meals!As to the reason why I love this buffet!!! Yummy!

This is a decent buffet and the food is good. They've come a long way from way back when. The prices are a little pricey so not a place you'd go often. There is other Chinese buffets closer that are better and cheaper. But this place is decent. It's clean and safe.

Loved the new menu options of seafood boil. Yummy yummy.. Haven't been there in a long time but they didn't disappoint 💯
